Ready to roll....

T minus 10 days until we venture off on our summer adventure.  I don't know if it's sunk in with anyone yet that we will be packed in the minivan for 8 or 9 weeks, but a sense of excitement is in the air.  Jim and I have consulted AAA, poured over maps, highlighted points of interest, and scoured the internet for places off the beaten path.  We've purchased a car top carrier, practice packed the car, and made our last minute to-do list. We are ready to roll...

 

 

Ashley has put pen to paper to create this awesome list of things she would like to do this summer. (I always hoped my kids would love nature and camping.  Actually it's one of the reasons for this trip, but obviously Ashley is already a nature-girl at heart!!!)

 

 

Ranger Lauren's Thoughts

 

When I first found out we were going on a trip for the whole summer, I was disappointed because I knew I wasn't going to get to hang out with my friends.  When I found out all the fun activities we had planned I started to get excited, but was still a little disappointed.  This whole week I have felt flushed with excitement because of all the packing we are doing.  I see my parents packing tons of boxes and shoving stuff into our van. I am so excited for this summer!!
